Getting Started

  • What is Pixelion?

    Pixelion is an AI-powered platform that transforms video and audio content into structured, publish-ready assets. Upload any file and get accurate transcripts, subtitles, summaries, blog posts, social media content, and more — instantly.

  • What file formats are supported?

    Pixelion supports MP3, WAV, MP4, MOV, FLAC, OGG, and WebM files. The maximum file size is 5 GB for all plans.

  • Do I need an account to use Pixelion?

    No. You can upload and transcribe files as a guest without signing up. Guest transcriptions expire after 1 day. Create a free account to keep your transcripts for 7 days, access basic summaries, and generate 4 AI thumbnails per job.

  • What languages are supported?

    Pixelion supports automatic language detection and transcription in over 50 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, and many more.

Transcription

  • How long does transcription take?

    Most files are transcribed in 1–3 minutes, regardless of length. Longer files may take slightly more time. You can close the browser and come back — your transcription will be waiting on your dashboard.

  • How accurate is the transcription?

    Pixelion delivers high accuracy across languages and accents. For best results, use clear audio with minimal background noise. You can also specify the language manually for improved accuracy.

  • Can I edit the transcript after it's generated?

    Yes! You can edit the transcript directly in the detail view. Click on any text to make corrections. Your edits are saved automatically and will be reflected in all generated content (summaries, blog posts, etc.) if you regenerate them.

  • What AI tools are available?

    Pro users get access to AI-powered transforms including:

    • Summary — A concise overview of your content
    • Detailed Summary — An in-depth breakdown with key points
    • Blog Post — A publish-ready article generated from your transcript
    • Social Posts — Ready-to-share content for social media platforms
    • YouTube Chapters — Timestamped chapter markers for your video
    • Video SEO — Optimized titles, descriptions, and tags
    • Translation — Translate your transcript or subtitles into 50+ languages
  • How do I change the AI tone?

    On the job detail page, click the gear icon () next to the "Transform" heading in the sidebar. Choose from Professional, Casual, Creative, Funny, or Academic. Your selection is saved per job, so different content can use different tones.

  • Can I customize the AI-generated content?

    Yes! All AI-generated content is editable. You can:

    • Edit text directly in the content area
    • Regenerate content if you want a different version
    • Adjust tone or style by editing the transcript first, then regenerating

    Your edits are saved automatically.

Downloads & Export

  • What export formats are available?

    You can download your transcript as:

    • Plain Text (.txt) — The full transcript as readable text
    • SRT (.srt) — Subtitles with timestamps, compatible with YouTube, Vimeo, and most video editors
    • VTT (.vtt) — Web-standard subtitle format for HTML5 video players

    You can also copy the transcript to your clipboard with one click.

  • Can I share my transcript with others?

    Yes. Click the Share button below your transcript to generate a secure, read-only link. Anyone with the link can view the transcript and play the audio — no account required.

  • How do I download or export content?

    You can download or copy content in multiple formats:

    • Transcript: Download as TXT, SRT (subtitles), or VTT
    • AI Content: Copy to clipboard or download as TXT
    • Thumbnail: Download as PNG or JPG

    Look for the download or copy buttons next to each content section.

Plans & Billing

  • What's the difference between Free and Pro?

    Free includes transcription up to 30 minutes per file, subtitle downloads, basic summaries, 4 AI thumbnails per job, and 7-day transcript history.

    Pro ($19.99/month) extends the limit to 120 minutes per file, adds all AI tools (summaries, blog posts, social posts, YouTube chapters, video SEO), translation, unlimited storage, and priority support.

  • How do I upgrade to Pro?

    To upgrade to Pro:

    1. Go to your Account page
    2. Click "Upgrade to Pro" in the Subscription section
    3. Choose monthly ($12/month) or yearly ($9/month billed annually)
    4. Enter your payment information
    5. Confirm your subscription

    Your Pro features will be active immediately.

  • Can I cancel my Pro subscription?

    Yes, you can cancel anytime from your Account page. Click "Manage Billing" to open the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel, update payment methods, or view invoices. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your billing period.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept all major payment methods:

    • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
    • Debit cards
    • Apple Pay
    • Google Pay

    All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

  • Do you offer refunds?

    We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on Pro subscriptions. If you're not satisfied, contact support within 7 days of your purchase for a full refund.

    After 7 days, no refunds are issued, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges.

Storage & Data

  • How long are my files stored?

    Guest: 1 day. Free: 7 days. Pro: As long as your subscription is active. After expiration, media files are deleted but you can always re-upload.

  • Is my data secure?

    Yes. All files are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (S3 server-side encryption). Media files are automatically deleted based on your plan's retention policy. We never share your content with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

  • Can I delete my data?

    Yes. You can delete individual jobs from your dashboard at any time. To delete all your data:

    1. Go to your Account page
    2. Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
    3. Confirm the deletion

    This will permanently delete your account, all transcripts, and all generated content.

Troubleshooting

  • My upload failed. What should I do?

    If your upload fails, try:

    • Check file size: Maximum is 5 GB. Compress or split large files.
    • Check file format: Ensure it's a supported format (MP4, MOV, MP3, WAV, etc.)
    • Check connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection
    • Try again: Temporary server issues may resolve on retry
    • Clear cache: Clear your browser cache and try again

    If the problem persists, contact support.

  • Transcription is taking too long. What's happening?

    Transcription typically takes 1-3 minutes for most files. If it's taking longer:

    • Check the status: Go to your dashboard to see the current status
    • Peak times: During high-traffic periods, processing may be slower
    • Pro priority: Pro members get priority processing
    • Refresh: Refresh the page to see the latest status

    If a job is stuck for more than 30 minutes, contact support.

  • I can't log in. What should I do?

    If you can't log in:

    • Check email: Ensure you're using the correct email address
    • Reset password: Click "Forgot password?" on the login screen
    • Check spam: Password reset emails may end up in spam
    • Social login: Try logging in with Google, Facebook, or Microsoft
    • Clear cache: Clear your browser cache and cookies

    If you still can't log in, contact support.

  • The AI tools aren't working. What should I do?

    If an AI tool fails:

    • Check plan: AI tools are only available on Pro. Upgrade if needed.
    • Refresh: Refresh the page and try again
    • Try another tool: If one tool fails, try a different one
    • Edit transcript: If the transcript has errors, fix them first and regenerate
    • Wait: If the tool is processing, wait a moment and refresh

    If the problem persists, contact support.

  • I'm hitting my usage limits. What can I do?

    Usage limits depend on your plan:

    • Free: 30 minutes per upload, 1 concurrent upload
    • Pro: 120 minutes per upload, 5 concurrent uploads

    To increase your limits:

    • Upgrade to Pro: Get 4x the transcription time and 5 concurrent uploads
    • Split files: Break large videos into smaller segments
    • Wait for reset: Limits reset daily
